Jakarta (31/5) — Chairman of the PKS faction of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Jazuli Juwaini, asked the UN Security Council to act decisively to stop the massacre carried out by Israel against Palestinian refugees in Gaza and Rafah. According to Jazuli, the UN Security Council must not ignore Israel’s barbarity which has exceeded the limits of humanity.

“Don’t just because of the veto of one country, namely the United States, then paralyze the role of the UN Security Council which should be able to stop Israel’s barbarism. Do we continue to allow the massacre of children and civilians in Gaza and Rafah to continue? Trust in the UN Security Council has collapsed by ignoring the massacre the Palestinian people,” said Jazuli.

According to the Vice President of the World Muslim Parliamentary Forum, the world is very sad and crying because it sees that there is no longer a safe place for Palestinians in Gaza and Rafah. Israel bombarded not only houses and public facilities, but also refugee tents containing civilians, children, women and the elderly.

“Israeli planes dropped multi-ton bombs on refugee tents, killing small children and women and burning them alive. All the videos and photos of the victims were clearly displayed on various media. And the UNSC is still silent?” growled this member of the Parliamentary League for Al Quds.

A wave of protests by hundreds of millions of people around the world with the slogan “All Eyes on Rafah” echoed on social media. Also, various protests in various parts of the world, including on top European and American campuses, should open the eyes of the UN Security Council that what Israel is doing cannot be tolerated.

This member of the DPR for the Banten electoral district asked the 15 members of the UN Security Council to take a firm decision to impose sanctions on Israel and enforce these sanctions, including by deploying armed forces in accordance with the UN mandate to force Israel to stop massacring the residents of Gaza and Rafah.

“Israel has repeatedly violated UN resolutions. Israel has violated all international laws of war and humanitarian law. It is challenging the decision of the International Court of Justice. What Israel has done is not only destroying the peace that is mandated to maintain the UN Security Council, but has destroyed world humanity with acts of genocide. It’s time for the world to stop Israel’s barbarity!,” concluded Jazuli.
