Jakarta (09/05) — Israel again made a bloody tragedy to the Palestinian people. This time it was carried out at the Al-Aqsa Mosque Complex when Muslims were praying tarawih.

The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) faction strongly criticized the brutal shooting of the congregation which was intended to be carried out by the Israeli police which resulted in at least 178 worshipers being injured.

“What the Israeli police are doing is really barbaric. The blind shooting of the tarawih prayer congregation at the Al-Aqsa Mosque Complex in the golden month when Palestinian Muslims were ready to welcome Eid was beyond reason and humanity, “said PKS Faction Chairman Jazuli Juwaini.

According to Jazuli, Israeli authorities have again shown the world how they lack empathy, have no conscience, and have lost their sense of humanity and tolerance as citizens of the world. Israeli Brutalism in the Al-Aqsa Mosque Complex is not the first. In fact, this complex has a clear legal status as a sacred legacy of Muslims in the world.

“Israel has repeatedly demonstrated an arrogant attitude, curbing the civil liberties of the Palestinian people, including freedom of religion and worship, which are either irreducible human rights or irreducible rights,” said Jazuli.

Members of Commission I DPR for the Electoral District of Banten asked the Indonesian government to take a firm stance and mobilize international forces to criticize and impose sanctions on Israel’s brutal actions. Jazuli, who is also the Vice President of the World Muslim Parliamentary Forum, hopes that the world will no longer turn a blind eye to the gross human rights violations committed by Israel, but instead provide full support and protection to the Palestinian people.

“Indonesia as the largest Muslim country in the world will always take a leading role in defending the independence and protection of the rights of the Palestinian people,” concluded Jazuli.
